Outstanding Crystal and Pewter
figure of Egyptian ANKH
The ANKH, ancient Egyptian "Cross of Life"
representing the integrated union of male and female sexual symbols: a
female oval surmounting a male cross.
Also known as the "Key of the Nile" because the Egyptians
believed that the Sacred Marriage of the Mother and Father Gods occurred each
year before the flood of the Nile, unleashing abundant fertility and bountiful
crops, which the ANKH symbolized. Every individual and household possessed
this most beneficent sacred symbol, associated with the Goddess Isis.
